Summer, it is a-rollin'
Seems that I lied a bit in the last post about getting back to this thing in a relatively short amount of time. Eh, fuck it......been doin lots of shit around here. So things seem to finally have their place in the small amount of storage space I got here at home. Summer is awfully close to officially starting. Personally I think it has already having already hung out with folks at Chase's, however I know that until Chaseapalooza III this Saturday, it won't be completely official. Other things to kick summer off, the Commander is back on the road, with a long road ahead for sure, and I got the gig at EI back. So with all that said, I'm gonna throw down my hopeful to-do list here. Enjoy.
1-Vehicle-Get my faith in the Commander up as high as I can with the hopes of not having to drive the Big Dog anymore. Quite possibly includes valve job, rings, injector rebuild......who knows, but it's certainly not at 100% yet running-wise.
2-Races-Come hell or high water I'm seeing some goddamn racing this summer. The first official date is June 8-10 at the Glen, catching the Rolex sports car series there. Hope to see some company meeting me there as well. Tix info is online for anyone interested.
3-Buildin shit-Gonna get the woodshed back to the point of it actually being a friggin woodshed, not a storage place alone. First off just to get out there and fiddle around with things, but in time, hopefully making the bottle hockey shelf, dvd rack, beirut tables, and the Tri-Force (you'll see what I'm saying if I end up building it)
4-Health-Yeah, I know this should be a lot higher up, but the truck and other things have been on my mind more recently. I intend to start walking at night since the desk job doesn't do dick for me excercise-wise like the manufacturing jobs I've had the 2 summers before the last one. I got a GI specialist appt the next week following the races, and plan to start seeing my dad's doc just to make sure I got things in check.
5-Friends-I intend to have many good times with folk from around here, gonna do the relay again with cara and crew and will be causing rucus at chase's for most the summer. There's an outside chance of some band-related fun too this summer, and maybe just maybe someone will come down my neck of the woods and see me for a jolly good time this summer. 8-)
Looks like a pretty decent list. I really would love to see everything get done, but if at least the majority of things get accomplished I'd say it was a beneficial summer. Peace be the journey.
